The Fathers’ Day Cookie Blitz project brought more than we could ask or imagine!  With the talent and time of everyone who took part, St. Martin's bakers made 20 dozen cookies for distribution to the men of the community, 16 dozen cookies for the Mission to Seafarers Society, and a few tucked away in the church freezer for when we can have a fellowship hour on the plaza in the near future.

This was a wonderful way to contribute to our wellbeing, connect as a faith community, and to make something in loving service for those in the wider neighbourhood.  The cookies for the Mission will be handed out to ship personnel who visit the Flying Angel Club in the Port of Vancouver as a reminder that dads far away from home and their families are still loved and remembered through the Anglican Church.  What else might we be able to do together with God’s help?
