This week, I thought I would offer a prayer for St. Martin’s as we continue through this time of transition. I invite you to pray it with me in thanksgiving for the life of this community and in hope of what is yet to come:
Loving God, from the time when this parish of St. Martin’s began, you have guarded us and guided us through many challenges and opportunities. Help us now to hear your call in ministry as we seek to serve our neighbours in Christ’s love. Inspire the gifts of the Holy Spirit among us for the work of the kingdom. Shape us into more committed disciples and more courageous sharers of your good news in Jesus. As we discern where you want us to focus, whisper your yearnings into the ears of our next clergy leader, that we may be drawn together in a family of faith. Support our parish council, our trustees, and our clergy, that with faith, hope, and charity we may continue to companion all we meet in the Christian way. We pray this in the mystery, beauty, and love of the Triune God. Amen.
