Nestled in the heart of North Vancouver lies a gem. St. Martin's is a heritage church with wonderful views and space to host your wedding and reception. In many ways St. Martin's is the best kept secret of North Vancouver. We are able to offer both a traditional wedding ceremony with traditional language or a more contemporary modern wedding as well. Get in touch with The Venerable Stephanie Shepard, our Priest and Sarah, our Parish Administrator to help you plan your ideal wedding.
In order to be married in the church you and your partner will need to complete marriage preparation with Stephanie. This usually is two to three visits for about an hour. The Diocese of New Westminster provides an informative Marriage Brochure on the Ceremony of Marriage.
You will also need to purchase a marriage licence one month prior to the date of your wedding. Please visit the Government Web Page for more information.
After your initial meeting with Stephanie, we will work together with you to coordinate the arrangements for your wedding. You will also work with our Musical Director, David Millard, who will provide and assist you with the planning of the musical component of your wedding service.
If you need ideas and inspiritation for Readings and Hymns, the Church of England has an excellent resource website which you can use. To access this easy to use website, please go to https://www.yourchurchwedding.org/. The Priest and Music Director will also help you with these decisions.
To book an appointment and to book a date, please contact the Parish Office. We are happy to arrange your marriage year round, except Holy Week (the week prior to Easter). This is due to the religious significance and /or the increased programming in the church.
The cost of a wedding held at St. Martin's is approximately $1,000.00. For more information about costs please see our Wedding Fees listed on the attachment below. For evening weddings, after 5:00pm, Christmas Day, New Years Eve or Day, there may be additional costs.
We welcome you to visit us and take a tour of the St. Martin's Church and Hall so you can get a better understanding of how your ceremony will feel. Congratulations!
