Celebrating our Heritage - Embracing our Future
2010 marks the centenary of St Martin's Church. This year we are celebrating a century of service and worship in North Vancouver and embracing what God has in store for the church in the future. Over the next twelve months there will be events and celebrations marking this milestone.
Congratulations to Sandra Stevenson
It is great news for her and bad news for us as Sandra is moving on to a post in the Synod Office of the Diocese. After six and a bit years organising St Martin's, Sandra has been appointed as administrator in the business department of the Diocese. She will be working closely with the financial team as well as providing support to the Administration and Finance Committee.
Sandra will be deeply missed here at St Martin's. She has done a wonderful job of making the complex systems, rotas and arrangements run like clockwork.
Over the summer, we will be running a slightly pared down office service here and then looking to appoint, after discussion in the deanery, appropriate admin staff.

Deanery Ministry Assessment Process
The report at the end of the discussion phase of our MAP is now available. It has been emailed to our subscriber list. Further copies are in the narthex. Please take the time to read through the document which contains some important recommendations for how we can move forward with vital and sustainable ministry across North Vancouver.

Deanery Service - July 4
On Sunday July 4 the we came together from across North Vancouver to worship as a Deanery.
This year, our preacher was Paul Borthistle, Director of Parish Support Ministries. There was a fabulous choir made up from singers from the various churches. We also heard from the two Karen families that we sponsored.

Gala Dinner - June 5
We had a marvellous time of great food, music, dancing and lots of goodies. The silent auctions and the live auction were eagerly followed and people outbid one another to take home the gifts and presents so generously donated.
We raised $11,000 and, as importantly, had a great time of fun with friends old and new.
A huge thank you to all the Gala Team for all the hard work - it was truly worth it.
